Look inside the new St Teresa Library and Research Centre at Avila College.

Details

Avila College asked VE Furniture to supply the furniture for their new St Teresa Library and Research Centre, a project years in the making that finally opened in Term 1, 2026. The brief was straightforward: a school library that could run as a quiet reading room in the morning and a full classroom by afternoon, without looking like either.

The Space
The centre sits at the heart of the Avila campus and connects two distinct zones. The main library floor curves around a wall of dark shelving, broken up by a large display screen and whiteboard. A separate teaching room with glazed walls can seat a full class, then fold back into the open library when not in use.
