Simonds Catholic College | Staff Room

Simonds Catholic College underwent a significant refurbishment to create an environment that better supports students and staff. Designed by Chandler Architecture and delivered by CA Property, the project transformed key teaching and administration spaces across the campus, including new classrooms for design, food technology and music, and improvements to collaborative open spaces.

VE Furniture handled the installation and fit-out of the college's staff offices, meeting rooms, staff rooms, leadership team offices and wellbeing spaces.

The Brief

Fit out staff-facing spaces to match the scale of the wider campus refurbishment
Give staff a mix of settings; focused work, informal breaks and quiet wellbeing spaces
Furnish leadership offices and meeting rooms for both daily use and external meetings
Bring flexibility and colour into shared spaces without compromising function
Keep the staff room reconfigurable, with tables and couches on casters so staff can move furniture as needs change
Control noise in the admin office, with acoustic surrounds on every workstation
